By the end of the month, the SS had transferred a total of approx. 1,600 male and 1,200 female concentration camp prisoners.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;85595&#8243; caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; media_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; media_ratio=&#8221;four-three&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; media_link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.landsberg-kaufering-erinnern.de%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2021%2F01%2FLager11_new_V2.jpg|title:Kaufering_XI_new|target:_blank|&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;85230&#8243; caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; media_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; media_ratio=&#8221;four-three&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; media_link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.landsberg-kaufering-erinnern.de%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2021%2F01%2FLager11_old_V2.jpg|title:Kaufering_XI_old|target:_blank|&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Subcamp XI was located in the immediate vicinity of the construction projects &#8220;Weingut II&#8221; and &#8220;Diana II&#8221;, where concentration camp prisoners were engaged in forced labour.\u00a0In spring 1945, typhus broke out in the camp, which is why it was temporarily put into quarantine. According to an SS guard, the concentration camp subcamp was evacuated towards Allach concentration subcamp near Munich on 24 April 1945.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text]A meadow now lies where the camp premises used to stand. Remains of the foundations of XI camp have been preserved.
