Although not all prisoners arrived via this railway station, or were transferred to other camps, it became a symbol of the Landsberg\/Kaufering sub-camp complex.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;83997&#8243; caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; media_width_percent=&#8221;70&#8243; media_ratio=&#8221;four-three&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; media_link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.landsberg-kaufering-erinnern.de%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2020%2F10%2F6.2-Foto-1-c-SBG_Web.jpg|target:_blank|&#8221;][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text]In May 2008, the Kaufering Memorial Association (Gedenken in Kaufering e. V.) was founded on behalf of the thousands of Jewish people, who became victims of the Nazi regime. A year later, two memorial sites were erected at the station: One of the memorials by Hubertus von Pilgrim is in memory of the death march by concentration camp prisoners and stands in the \u201cCopse of the 30,000\u201d. In memory of the prisoner transport, a loading ramp with a goods wagon was also erected.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text]The memorial and the ramp at the station are now an established part of the memorial culture in the Landsberg\/Kaufering area.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;85079&#8243;
